Loss of Use.

Loss of use refers to a provision in the homeowners and renters insurance policies that pays out for any extra living expenses caused by the damage of a home following a disaster . In other words, it covers the extra living expenses resulted by the damage of the present house. The insured may be forced to leave the present house and live in another house. In such cases, this insurance covers their extra living expenses. This policy covers the living expenses incase the present house of the insured becomes unfit to live and lose its use.

Loss of use insurance generally reimburses some or all of the living expenses. It pays the cots of hotel bills, food, and other basic bills. But the amount will be quite lesser than the normal daily living expenses. But it depends upon the plan and the insurance provider. Different insurance companies and plans have different kinds of coverage. It is important for the insured to take knowledgeable decision.
